NikitaThis week, I chose Gelatin aka Jello because it's just so dang hot! I'm trying to find ways to make food without turning on the range. Bonus points: I won the 'Mother of the Year' award with this berry mold. Christopher was in awe of it and ate most of it. Sometimes, I forget how children enjoy little things i.e. jello or ice pops. ~Ice pops have been really popular in our house lately~ This recipe was insanely easy to make and looked beautiful and rich in color. I even made whipped cream to serve with our slices - oh! Hand-Whipped Cream. Yes. I sold my hand mixer and used a whisk here. Christopher and I took turns whipping the cream because I'm out of shape and free child labor. Builds character! LOL! Enjoy the pics and the recipe. GeorgiaI thought this jello challenge was interesting in that, how can I make something not so jello-ish. I found this recipe for berry citrus gummies and thought.. yep. This is where we are going this week. Are they as beautiful as Nikita's Very Berry Gelatin? No Are they as gross as Amy's Raspberry Fluff? Also no They are cute and fun. Have a nice tart berry taste. And gummies. JenAmyI actually found a cherry fluff recipe that I might have to try. Cherries and fluff sound like a winning combination.
Until next week when we hunt for new ways to serve radishes. Nikita, Georgia, Jen and Amy
