Georgia I wanted to make a little sweet something for my team at work and found this wonderful recipe via Pinterest. Straight from Taste of Home comes these melt in your mouth peppermint meltaways.
What I really love about this recipe is the ability to top these cookies with anything and never lose the goodness of them. Next up is New year 2020. Still thinking about what I want to do different in the new year. Georgia Georgia This past week was choke full of parties. First was a retirement party for Employee #1 the second was our departmental Christmas Party.
The retirement party had a Mardi Gras theme in honor of his favorite place. New Orleans. And ordered a King Cake directly from Gambino's in New Orleans. It was a HUGE success. But.. For the Christmas party I made these yummy hot cocoa cupcakes and marshmallow frosting. The recipe doesn't say how many cupcakes it makes so I doubled it thinking it was only 12. WRONG! It made 24. We had cupcakes and cake for days. All in all, it was an amazingly blessed week. Until next time, Georgia Georgia This week was my week in the kitchen at church. And by request I made some scones.
I know this is going to come as a surprise for some of you.. But.. I have an entire board on Pinterest dedicated to scones. Today's scone is a chai pear. Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE chai. So this was an easy choice. The chai flavor in these scones was top notch and the pears added some moisture which moved these scones to the top of my list. You'll notice I seldom add a glaze to my scones. I leave this off to reduce the sugar and carbs. Until next time, Georgia Nikita
How lovely is it for Nikita to share a little Bulgaria with us? And to bring a little home to Bulgaria!
Until next week, Nikita, Amy and Georgia |
