AmyA sandwich that would have had Mom's approval. This recipe takes the Reuben sandwich to a different level. It's all about the Thousand Island Dressing. I used a recipe from The Pioneer Woman Magazine (trying to get my $3.99 worth). So I made a sammich and sparked up Doc Martin on Netflix. A perfect "Me" time moment. A couple of bonus favorites: Stranger Things season 2 is all about Steve and Bob! Halloween costume contest at work: my favorites were Forrest Gump and Lt. Dan and the gent dressed as Jack Skellington (he was on stilts) Currently reading The Heart is A Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers Podcast: The Writer's Almanac Cookbook: Milk Street: The New Home Cooking by Christopher Kimball Health&Beauty product I can't live without: Smith's Rosebud Salve Snack: popcorn popped in coconut oil and seasoned with Penzeys Mural of Flavors Music: Swing Jazz and Jazz Standards. Been chilling with George Winston and Windham Hill as well. Now the recipe! Make-Ahead Sandwich Rolls from The Pioneer Woman Magazine Fall 2017

NikitaEvery morning at 5:30am, I wake up and make lunches for my family. Matt usually get leftovers and snacks. Christopher gets a sandwich and snacks. I change up the sandwiches, so he doesn't get too bored of them...but he eats a sandwich almost every day. He has never complained about it and has told me he prefers my homemade lunch to a warm school lunch. It's really a simple meal: sandwich, crunchy crackers, fruit, veggie, something sweet, and water. This week was bologna. Sometimes, I wake up thinking, "Ugh, I gotta go make his lunch." Other mornings I think, "I get to make lunch for him again." I know I only have about 1300 more lunches to make him. It seems like a lot, but they will be gone soon. He will be gone soon. Love, 99 GeorgiaThere are a million and one sandwich combinations.. How do you choose just one? This week when Amy challenged everyone to pull out the cutting board to make sammiches I thought I'd take a different approach and incorporate it into our Sunday family dinner/ So I cooked up a huge pot of Corn Potato Chowder (chowdah) and set out a variety of sandwich fixens and let folks make their own sammie. Angie made a beautiful loaf of bread (perfect weather here for bread making) Auntie brought some meat and cheeses. And the husband also got a variety of meats and cheeses. Thankful November
Day 11: These two ladies here.. Family but also dearest of friends. Living far apart and yet finding a way to connect over the things we love.. Mostly food.. G Until next week, Amy, Nikita and Georgia
