Torte is the theme of the week. This was my second sweet torte of the week and certainly my favorite of the two! I'm going to just say "Almonds FTW!" This one will be made again and again I think. I might have underbaked it just a tad, but I like that it is so moist with nary a hint of dryness.
I cut into this before it was cooled enough and broke the piece off the tip -- still delicious! :)
This week was a white bread kinda week.
There's something comforting about making bread. Maybe it's the process. Or maybe it's the yummy bread smell while it's baking. It most definitely is the slathering it in butter while it's warm part.
Either way. Homemade bread is better than home grown tomatoes.
